This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

We only collect the information necessary to provide you with our boutique services:

  • Order Information: Name, shipping address, billing address, and email for order fulfillment.

  • Your Images: The digital photos you upload for sublimation.

  • Usage Data: Standard website analytics (like IP addresses and cookies) to help us improve your experience on our site.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used strictly for "Operational Elegance":

  • To process and deliver your custom mementos.

  • To communicate with you regarding your order or inquiries.

  • To send you studio updates (only if you have explicitly opted-in).

  • Note on Images: Your uploaded photos are used only for the production of your order. Once your project is complete and delivered, we hold images on our temporary production server for 30 days in case of a reprint request, after which they are permanently deleted.

3. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share data with essential service providers who help us run Memento & Co.:

  • Wix: Our website platform.

  • Payment Processors: (Wix Payments) to securely handle transactions.

  • Shipping Carriers: (Canada Post/Courier) to deliver your art.

  • Note: Some of these providers may store data on servers located outside of Canada (e.g., the United States).

4. Security & Retention

We take reasonable security measures (including SSL encryption and secure password protocols) to protect your data from unauthorized access. We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for business or legal purposes.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.

  • Request corrections to any inaccurate data.

  • Withdraw your consent for marketing at any time.

  • Request the deletion of your personal data (subject to legal record-keeping requirements).
